Celadon Porcelain Mug

Faceted mugs crafted from translucent porcelain clay, then coated in a speckled celadon glaze. The glaze is made from oyster shells and local clay, while the speckles are granulated iron sand from the Salish sea in Washington. The iron sand doesn’t melt in the kiln, giving each piece a textured finish, reminiscent of a polished seashell. Each piece is unique, and some variation is to be expected.
