Tokoname-yaki is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan, a city of pottery steeped in history with a history of over 1000 years. Tokoname-ware is a form of ceramic pottery that is produced in the area around the city of Tokoname in Aichi prefecture. This traditional craft comes from one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan. Kyusu are traditional Japanese teapots mainly made of fired volcanic clay of very high quality.
