Leatherworking Workshop

Introduction to Leatherworking: Hand-Stitch Your Own Crossbody

Join us at Atria for an evening of slow craft and tactile creativity. In this four-hour, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the fundamental techniques of traditional leatherworking in an intimate setting limited to just 10 participants.

Throughout the evening, we will cover:

  • Construction & Personalization: Learn how a crossbody is built and select your hardware and thread colors to customize your piece.

  • Precision Cutting: Master the art of accurately cutting leather components using professional tools.

  • The Art of Hand Stitching: Learn the traditional saddle stitch—the gold standard for strength, durability, and a beautiful handmade look.

  • Refined Finishing: Apply the final touches and edge treatments that elevate your bag into a professional-grade piece.

The Experience

All premium leather and use of tools are included. We will move at a relaxed pace with a 1:1 focus, including a midway break for drinks and snacks. By the end of the night, you’ll walk away with a completed crossbody bag, handmade entirely by you.
